I use to have a blog my freshman year in college, which was filled with the ramblings of a spoiled teenager who felt victimized by unfair circumstances and disliked the new educational system she found herself in. I hope for humanity's sake that nobody read what I had to say back then, and that those words have long disappeared.
I had a second blog when Myspace was cool and it chronicled my life in England among other things. I miss that blog. I miss sitting down everyday or two and sharing what was happening in my life. I miss my friends back at home writing with words of encouragement when needed. I miss reading what my friends wrote on their blogs, and even though I was an ocean away or incredibly busy, we were still connected.
I have been inspired to blog again because of my cousin's wife whom I have probably spent 5 minutes with in "real life" and that was over 10 years ago. You could pretty much call us strangers. However, due to the greatness of technology (Facebook and her blog), I have been able to get to know this wonderful woman. I find myself checking everyday to see if she has posted anything new about her life, the kids, or the little girl they are about to adopt. I show my son pictures of the cousins that he has never met. I call my mom and grandma if there is any news to share. I have found so much joy being able to connect with her family that I wanted to start writing this.
I hope you enjoy!
You will find bloggin is like an emotional release of the craziness of motherhood and life! Sometimes I share too much, but I am most excited that one day my kids will look back and see what life was like, what mom was like, what we did day in a day out and how we survived! I think one day josh will love to have a journal to look back on to see that his Mommy is a real person! Ha! I can't wait to keep up! See you soon and am so excited to let the kiddos meet and play! Much Love
